About

I’m Ashley, the face behind Singing Hills Farm. As far back as I can remember, I’ve wanted to be a farmer. Old and worn in places, generations of islanders have farmed, grazed, used, and loved this land since it was homesteaded in 1895. I've lived here since 2023 and everyday I’m grateful to call this place home.

The name Singing Hills comes from Isaiah 55, a chapter about the promise of an eternal abundant life and how to find it. The hills break into song and the trees clap their hands. I have a long term vision for this place, but know that my time here is not eternal. That seems to make each season, each connection more precious.

It’s a blessing to be able to work outside with plants and animals and share what I grow with others. I use biodynamic and sustainable farming methods and am honored to contribute to the islands’ food supply. Shalom!
